Time Control and Format

  • The tournament will be operated using the Swiss system with 8 rounds
  • For each game, each player is given 30 minutes with 30 seconds incremental time for each move starting from the first
  • Every player is required to record every move made by them and their opponents in the correct manner
  • The number of players is limited to 70; players are accepted on a first come first served basis


Age Groups and Prizes
There will be trophies for the top three players from each age group (number of trophies may be increased depending on the number of players), defined as follows:

  • Age 13-18: Born between January 1st, 1993 and December 31st, 1998
  • Age 10-12: Born between January 1st, 1999 and December 31st, 2001
  • Age 6- 9: Born between  January 1st, 2002 and December 31st, 2005

The top three players from each age group will also receive prize money: 1st: $300, 2nd: $200; 3rd: $100
All players are required to bring photo identification for age verification purposes.

Tournament Fee
HK$300 per person
Early bird fee: HK$250 per person for payments received on or before September 19, 2011
