Course Description

Dedicated to providing quality opportunities to chess players around Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Chess Association welcomes you to join our Christmas chess camp. With the experience and expertise of our coaches: Melvin Yu and CM Marco Yu, Linus Chan and Jeffrey Yu, all of whom are seasoned Hong Kong representatives, and a carefully crafted training program to improve the most crucial aspects at your child's level, your child will develop his or her interest and confidence through a deeper understanding of the game.

Intermediates (Approximately 1 year of chess experience):
Intermediate level students looking to improve their game will have their existing knowledge consolidated. Common openings encountered at this level will be analyzed and endgame drawing and winning techniques will be demonstrated. Middle game positional and tactical ideas will be stressed and tournament tips will be provided.
